Prancing Horse Autobody was founded in 1991 in a little shop on Audley street, where the new Jaguar dealership now stands. In the early days, we focused on high end and exotic automobiles, and created a name for ourselves in Victoria and throughout the southern Vancouver Island. After building a reputation in this highly demanding market, we expanded into general collision repair. We now have the staff to work on all makes and models of vehicles. We find that owners of Volkswagens and Nissans, for example, appreciate good quality repairs as much as Porsche and Audi owners. We strive to give every vehicle the same quality of repair, regardless of what make it is.

In 2006, Max McClanahan and Valerie Chu purchased the business. Within the first year of being under new management, the business was moved to our current location on Cecelia Road in Victoria. The new facility has more than doubled the shop size and provides a much better customer area. We also have a brand new, state of the art, side down draft paint booth and mixing room, as well as all new wedge clamp equipment to provide the latest in 3 dimensional frame and Unibody repairs.

After the moving into the expanded facilities and making other significant improvements to the business we were able to obtain our ICBC express repair status. Since then we have continued to grow and invest in the business to make it the premier collision repair facility that it now is.

In 2010 Prancing Horse Autobody became Prancing Horse Quality Assured Collision. We still offer the same great quality repairs and peerless customer service. Now we are affiliated with 18 other independent Quality Assured shops throughout the province who meet the same high standards that we do. Most importantly it allows us to provide to our customers the strength of 19 shops should any problems arise in the future -- providing the strongest guarantee in the market.

Prancing Horse Autobody is an I.C.B.C. Express Valet Shop and works with all other major insurance companies to expedite the handling of your insurance claims.
